Ancient Britain

Hello. This is just a quick post before I go out for a walk in the park. Just watched the final episode of a History of Ancient Britain (ended up reading after posting last night). What a programme. It shows how the first hunter-gatherers that arrived in Britain after the last ice age had settled on this land and progressed into farmers and finally metal-workers. All this got me thinking so much about the evolution of human civilization and the changes it brought with it.

Bronze age people had a pretty good life it would seem. Mostly farming, but people would doubtless enjoy spending time with their neighbours, buying precious objects when they could afford it. According to the programme, most skeletons from that era are well-nourished, indicating food must have been plentiful. Better than the stress-filled life we live today? I think so.

Stay tuned for the first law of the Primal Blueprint.
